CUNY’s Guttman Community College, 50 West 40th Street, has an opening for an adjunct to teach one course in our Fall I semester, September 8 through December 17, 2015, and one course in our Spring I semester, March 4 through June 20, 2016:

 

History of Urban Life

This course examines the development of urban communities across the United States both temporally and geographically. It examines the patterns of cleavage, conflict, and consensus that have shaped urban life. Social, cultural, and economic forces will be analyzed for the roles they have played in shaping the diverse communities of America’s cities New York City is used as a point of departure, with consideration of other American cities at pivotal moments for purposes of comparison.

Fall I:  Tuesday/Thursday 4:45 pm – 6:15 pm

Spring I:  Tuesday/Thursday 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm
