CFP: 11th Annual History Graduate Student Conference, proposals due 1/31

The PhD Program in History at the Graduate Center, CUNY is excited to invite graduate students to submit proposals for individual papers or panels to be presented at the eleventh annual departmental conference: History in Crisis/Crisis in History: Ruptures and Continuities.”

The conference offers a welcoming environment in which graduate students can gain experience presenting academic work, receive feedback from CUNY faculty, and meet other students working in related fields.

We welcome submissions of completed papers or preliminary research finds, works-in-progress, first-year research projects, or excerpts from dissertation chapters.

In order to apply, please send your 250-word abstract proposal, with an introductory blurb (year, field, interests) before January 31st, 2021 to the conference organizers, Idan Liav and Oscar Aponte at: GChistory.annualconference@gmail.com

Once accepted in the conference, you will be asked to submit a 7-10 page (double spaced) final paper by March 21st, 2021, by which time we will also have published the conference program.

Considering COVID-19 related restrictions, the conference will be conducted in an online format on Friday, April 9th, 2021.
