April 30 Decorative Arts Trust Summer Research Grants

The Decorative Arts Trust is accepting applications for our 2018 Summer Research Grants. Each year the Trust awards at least five research grants to graduate students working on a Master’s thesis or Ph.D. dissertation in a field related to the decorative arts. Grants range from $500-$1,000. More information, as well as descriptions of past grant projects, can be found on our website[decorativeartstrust.org].

In partnership with other organizations the Trust also offers grants for topics with a particular focus:

  • Marie Zimmermann Grant: Sponsored by the Marie & John Zimmermann Fund, these grants are allocated to projects that focus on late-19th and 20th-century topics.
  • DARTS Grant: Sponsored by the Decorative Arts Society of Orange County, these grants are allocated for students pursuing a topic based on objects, collections, crafts, or designers located on the West Coast or students enrolled at a West-Coast based graduate program

Founded in 1977, the Decorative Arts Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and fostering of the appreciation and study of the decorative arts through programming, collaborations and partnerships with museums and preservation organizations, and the underwriting of internships, scholarships, and research grants for graduate students and young professionals.
