Asst Prof Position in US and the World, Lehigh University

The Department of History at Lehigh University is seeking to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor of History with a specialization in the United States and the World in the twentieth and/or twenty-first centuries. Given your stature in the field, I am writing to ask if you might be able to provide us with the names of any suitably qualified scholars whom we might invite to apply. We are especially interested in historians who are from groups underrepresented in the discipline and/or will be able to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion at Lehigh and in the profession. Further details on the position can be found here.

Our faculty teach a 2:2 load at all levels of the curriculum. The Department features a distinctive graduate program focused on transnational history that offers both the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees. This hire will help strengthen the Department’s profile in research, scholarship, and graduate studies, while furthering the Department’s tradition of excellence in both undergraduate teaching and service to the University and the profession.
