CJH Seminar in Jewish History: “Hasidic Literature: A Historical and Definitional Exploration”

We are excited to invite you to the first meeting of the new CJH Seminar in Jewish History next week on Tuesday, September 12, at 4:00 p.m. The Seminar aims to bring together scholars and students of Jewish history for an intimate and animated conversation about new research in the field.

Our first presenter will be Elly Moseson (Boston University), whose paper is titled “Hasidic Literature: A Historical and Definitional Exploration.” A formal response will be offered by Shaul Magid (Indiana University).

We look forward to seeing you next week. To RSVP and receive a copy of the paper, please write to Chris Barthel, Director of Academic Programs at the Center for Jewish History, at fellowships@cjh.org.
