Remote Companionable Writing

Are you a person who likes to work in libraries and coffee shops? Do you miss the feeling of being around people while you read and write? If so, these remote companionable writing sessions may be a real help for you. Participants who join these Zoom meetings will be able to feel the presence of other people quietly working alongside them. The writing consultant who hosts each session will also be available to talk with you on a side-channel if you want to request their help. Weekly sessions will be held on Mondays from 10 AM to 12 PM, Tuesdays from 12 PM to 2 PM, Thursdays from 1 PM to 3 PM, and Fridays from 9 AM to 11 AM. Go here for links to each session’s Zoom room.

Writing Kvetch Happy Hour

Maintaining social isolation while working on your seminar papers, theses, and dissertations – all while juggling other demanding aspects of your work and family life – is very challenging. This weekly happy hour is a chance to connect with other graduate students in a casual setting where you can vent, compare notes, swap writing survival tips, and socialize. Go here for the Zoom link.

Remote Writing Consultations

We continue to hold remote one-on-one consultations. This is a great way to get feedback on any piece of writing no matter what stage you’re at in the  process, from brainstorming all the way to final polishing. To make an appointment, go here.
