HIST204 (Liberal Arts) Contemporary America 3 hrs. 3 crs. America since 1945 with emphasis on the development of society and politics in the context of the Cold War and domestic social and economic unrest. Preq: ENG 125. Not open to students with credit in HIST 323. HIST278 (Liberal Arts) History of Modern India 3 hrs. 3 crs. Basic historical account of the struggles of the people of the Indian subcontinent against colonial domination, with emphasis on the nationalist movement from which India and Pakistan emerged. Preq: ENG 125.
