Hourly Workers at the AHA Annual Meeting

The American Historical Association is holding its annual meeting in New York January 2–5, 2015. Thousands of historians from all over the world will be there, and we hope you will be among them.

The AHA needs several dozen workers to help with various tasks. Responsibilities will include working at the Job Center, making sure that meeting rooms have necessary equipment, and lots of other behind-the-scenes jobs that must be performed effectively if the meeting as a whole is to run smoothly. We seek workers who will be available for at least eight hours during the course of the meeting.

Each worker will be paid $15.00 per hour, and each will receive free meeting registration. (The preregistration fee for a graduate student is ordinarily $76 for student members and $119 for student nonmembers). Workers will be able to attend sessions that interest them, and also visit the exhibit hall, at times when they are not working. (See the meeting program to learn more about what will be going on.)

If you would like to be considered, please fill out the application by November 15. Questions? Contact aha@historians.org.
