Join Executive Director of Humanities New York Dr. Sara Ogger to consider how we center the needs of humans when designing humanities programming and spaces for a range of publics. What sorts of ethical and pragmatic choices help promote equity and access for members of the community who are often excluded? How may we better articulate the values of the humanities through these choices, and what tools in the humanities toolbox do we bring to this discussion?
This workshop will address these questions in both philosophical and concrete terms. Attendees will have the chance to think about specific opportunities and challenges related to creating humanities programming and spaces and to collaboratively tackle problems facing those who create humanities programming every day.
