Prof. Francesca Bregoli, Among Other Scholars, Presents At The Seminar On Jewish History Sponsored By The Center For Jewish History

We are delighted to invite you to participate in a our monthly Seminar on Jewish History sponsored by the Center for Jewish History (CJH).  The aim of the seminar is three-fold: 1) to serve as an opportunity for CJH fellows to present their work in progress; 2) to hear from and discuss the work of colleagues active in the field in the greater New York area; and 3) to foster an intimate environment for stimulating discussion about new currents in Jewish history. In that last regard, we are hoping to encourage a more intimate and regular encounter between CJH fellows, on one hand, and faculty, graduate students, and independent scholars in the New York area, on the other. Although the main focus of CJH fellows is the modern era, we are interested in all areas and periods of Jewish history.

The Seminar is held at the Center for Jewish History on 15 W. 16th St. (between 5th and 6th Aves).  The format is a predistributed paper, a brief (10 minute) summary and broader reflections by the author, a 15 minute response, and then open discussion. There will be a light reception following the Seminar.
