This workshop will demonstrate how to utilize the Foreign Relations of the United States official documentary history series to conduct research on the history of U.S. foreign relations, including “non-traditional” topics such as decolonization and post-colonial history.

Staff from the Office of the Historian at the U.S. Department of State will demonstrate potential uses of resources available at http://history.state.gov, provide an overview of researching online records from the National Archives, and offer advice on research strategies.

Participants will have access to computers for hands-on training.
