They will also leave some time at the end for informal conversation with the speaker.

This past fall, the Center Director, Distinguished Professor Carol Gould presented a keynote address at a conference on Marx and the Critique of Humanism at the University of Lisbon (Portugal). Her paper was entitled “‘Nothing Human is Alien to Me’: Revisiting and Revising Marx’s Critical and Constructivist Humanism.” She is currently on research leave, working on a new book on Rethinking Democracy from the Margins.

CGEP is happy to report some news about their CGEP Fellows: Susan Erck will be taking up a position as Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Mississippi State University and Alumni Fellow Jesse Spafford has accepted a position as Lecturer in Philosophy at Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand).
