Please check out this week’s list of jobs and events here:  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OWb5KFt11mePBzIVrCEt0mxRP3S21_px17cCDZ5ApvM/edit?usp=sharing.

According to Indeed.com, “Even understanding the average demand for jobs in your field still only provides a limited perspective on the length of your job search. When searching for a job, aim to set realistic goals so that you can stay motivated and use appropriate job searching strategies. Think about how all of the different aspects of your job search interact with one another and what you can do to get a job sooner.”

The following events will help you explore some of your interests. Please register to attend.

FROM THE GRADUATE DEGREE TO NON-PROFIT JOBS

A Professional Mentoring Roundtable

Humanities graduate students have many marketable skills that are valued in non-profit organizations, but the prospect of transitioning from academia to these other career pathways can seem daunting. Make some valuable connections and learn from those who have gone before you by attending our Professional Mentoring Roundtable on April 25 from 4-6 PM.

Group discussions will be informal and interactive, giving students a chance to ask lots of questions. Each student will be paired with potential mentors for three small, rotating group discussions lasting 20-25 minutes each. The last 30 minutes will be an open networking session.

To select your potential mentors, please register here.

When: April 25, 4-6 PM
