Mellon Sawyer Seminar in Transpacific Thought Consortium Doctoral Fellowship

 

Doctoral students are invited to apply for a Mellon Sawyer Seminar in Transpacific Thought Consortium Doctoral Fellowship. Carrying a stipend of $4k, fellows will participate in the biweekly meetings and other seminar activities, including publication workshops, comprising the Seminar. A collaborative project of the CUNY Graduate Center and New York University, the Seminar will run from Fall 24-Spring 25. They expect to award five such fellowships, which are intended to help make active participation in the seminar possible. The fellowships do not carry tuition remission or other benefits.

Eligibility

Students must be matriculated to and in good standing in a doctoral program at one of the schools in the Interuniversity Doctoral Consortium (Columbia University (including Teachers College), CUNY, Fordham University, New School University, New York University (including Steinhardt School of Education), Princeton University, Rutgers–New Brunswick (State University of New Jersey), and Stony Brook (State University of New York)). Fellows are expected to be in residence in the New York metropolitan area and attend seminar activities in person.

  2. no more than 2-page letter of interest
  3. c.v.
  4. unofficial transcript
