The University of Alabama History Department invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Early Modern English/British History, research specialization open.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach the department’s English History to 1688 survey course, upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in Early Modern English/British History, and to take part in the Western Civilization survey. The Department and the University emphasize excellence in teaching as well as scholarship. Ph.D. must be in hand by time of appointment.
