Graduate Center, Room C202
Snacks will be served.
Thirty-five to 40 per cent of full-time teaching positions advertised in the Chronicle are at community colleges, a recent piece in that publication pointed out. But the benefits and challenges of teaching at a community college can differ from those at four-year schools. Please join us as we hear from four GC grads who have made their own careers at community colleges:
- Lorraine Cohen, Professor of Sociology and Coordinator of the Labor and Community Organization Option, Chair of Social Science Department (LaGuardia Community College, CUNY)
- Stacey L. Donohue, Professor of English and Chair of Humanities Department (Central Oregon Community College)
- Ilan Ehrlich, Assistant Professor of History, (Bergen Community College)
- Paul A. West, Associate Professor Department of Mathematics, Engineering & Computer Science (LaGuardia Community College, CUNY)
