10/27- “Capitalism’s Mute Compulsion”

The Political Theory Workshop group would like to invite interested students to join them for an event they are co-sponsoring with the Center for Global Ethics & Politics on Friday, October 27th.

The Danish philosopher Søren Mau will join to discuss his much-talked-about book Mute Compulsion – A Marxist Theory of the Economic Power of Capital.

The event starts at 4 PM and will take place in the Political Science program lounge, 5th floor, room 5200.  Interested students can register for Zoom participation through this link. Attached is a paper that summarizes the main arguments of the book, as well as a flyer for the event.
