2025 Awards for Doctoral Student Teaching and Faculty Mentoring – Nominations due August 29

To the students, alumni, and faculty members of the Ph.D. program in History,
The provost’s office is soliciting nominations for $1,000 awards for excellence in teaching by doctoral candidates and for excellence in mentoring by members of the doctoral faculty (either consortial or central).  Students can put their own names into consideration for the teaching award, while faculty members need to be nominated by a student, alum, or another faculty member in order to be considered for the mentoring award.  Details about the materials required for nominations to be considered are below.
The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, August 29, 2025.  Please send the requested materials as a single PDF to Amanda Rajnauth (arajnauth@gc.cuny.edu).  If more than one person is nominated in either category, a faculty committee will determine who the program’s nominees will be. Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thank you.

Best,
Jonathan
