3/9 – Teaching Beyond the Classroom (with Anne Valk!)
Join the PublicsLab and the Teaching and Learning Center for a vigorous discussion about the importance of teaching skills outside the classroom! Professors Bianca Williams (Anthropology) and Anne Valk (History), along with TLC director Luke Waltzer and PublicsLab director Stacy Hartman, will share how they have utilized skills gained from teaching in other projects and organizations, including within higher ed, in the public sector, and in social justice organizing. Attendees will learn how to translate their teaching skills across various contexts and locations. They will also have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience with the language and techniques necessary to implement these methods.
