8/ 5 – 19 – virtual discussions of Putting the Humanities PhD to Work by Katina L. Rogers.

This will be a sustained discussion about graduate education reform using Putting the Humanities PhD to Work: Thriving in and beyond the Classroom as a point of departure.

This discussion group will be structured as series of three videochats focusing on two chapters per week. There’s no obligation to attend every session.

  • August 5: Preface, intro, ch 1
  • August 12: Ch 2-3
  • August 19: Ch 4-5, conclusion

Each week will be moderated by a guest host. Author Katina L. Rogers will also participate in discussions and field questions.
