Adelphi University seeks Fall 2017 adjuncts

Adelphi University in Garden City, NY seeks to hire adjunct instructors in a range of fields and periods to teach upper-level courses, beginning with the Fall 2017 semester.  Assuming enrollments are healthy, our plan is to continue to hire on an ongoing basis from the pool of applicants we receive.

Classes will meet Mondays and Wednesdays in the afternoon, most likely from 2:25 to 3:40 or from 4:15 to 5:30.  In Fall 2017, adjunct pay will be $4,383 per course.

Adelphi University can easily be reached from NYC by public transportation via a short ride on the Long Island Railroad’s Hempstead branch from Penn Station, Atlantic Terminal, and Jamaica Station in Queens to the Nassau Boulevard stop.  We can also be reached from the far more convenient Mineola stop via campus shuttle.

If interested, please email Michael LaCombe at lacombe@adelphi.edu with a CV and cover letter briefly describing your plans for the course. If available, a course outline or syllabus and a teaching evaluation of some sort (a peer review or student evaluations, for example) would be helpful. MA required. ABD or PhD preferred.
