BMCC is seeking a Student Engagement Coordinator

BMCC is seeking a Student Engagement Coordinator to expand the presence of student-facing offices on the BMCC OpenLab. This person will liaise with programs and departments across Student Affairs and Academic Affairs and will help them design and implement spaces that build community among BMCC students and provide opportunities for them to showcase their work. The Student Engagement Coordinator will supervise a Peer Outreach Coordinator (college assistant), who will provide direct support to students using the OpenLab, create documentation, and work on outreach activities to increase engagement.

 

The Student Engagement Coordinator will guide staff and students from engagement goals to defining and creating community experiences. Applicants should be experienced with WordPress, including a variety of themes and plugins, user experience design, and online community building. Experience with ePortfolios is a plus.

 

We expect this position to run for a total of 700 hours over the course of the year at a rate of $50/hour.
