Call for Papers – Gotham Center Blog for Scholars of New York City History

The Gotham Center invites academic scholars and independent experts to submit mini-essays (350-2500 words) on any aspect of New York City’s past to its blog. This is the only digital forum of its kind, now in its fourth month and getting excellent traffic. Excerpts from recent or forthcoming publications are welcome, as are reviews of books, conferences, movies, and exhibits; profiles of archival sources; historiographic commentary; and interviews. We are looking for rigorous but relaxed pieces, accessible to general readers. Images and audio-visual material are encouraged. Proposed texts will be reviewed and edited. Please send contributions to the managing editor, Peter-Christian Aigner at pcaigner@gmail.com.
