CLAGS Communication Fellowship Fall 2023

The Center for LGBTQ Studies (CLAGS) invites you to apply for our Fall 2023 Fellowship. Please see a brief description of the fellowship below. We will be accepting applications until Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

 

Communication Fellowship: $2000

To develop content as well as coordinate and complete virtual promotion and information distribution CLAGS-related activities.

Mostly remote work with minimal on-site work at the GC.

 

This fellow will coordinate and complete virtual promotion and information distribution activities. The fellow should be an innovative thinker, self-starter, multi-tasker, have strong writing skills, experience in online content development, and a background specifically in social media promotion and content design. The fellow should be knowledgeable and familiar with a diverse set of virtual platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube. Experience with other online/digital platforms such as Canva, Eventbrite, and Constant Contact as well as press release creation is welcome. The fellow will provide general virtual support for event promotion. The fellow will assist in the development of content as well as dissemination of other relevant CLAGS or community-based information. The fellow must be willing to have a FB account – it can be a “dummy account” – for the purpose of managing the CLAGS page. The fellow will also support CLAGS staff to create a virtual/online expansion plan to increase the organization’s digital footprint. The fellow will support the monitoring of the general CLAGS email. This fellowship mainly has a large online component.
