Doctoral Student Research Grant (DSRG) Applications are Open
The DSRG awards up to $1,500 for research-related expenses. Reasons to apply:
- This is a good introductory grant application: straightforward, with help available from dsrg@gc.cuny.edu
- A proposal brings a student’s ideas and projects to the attention of the faculty
- Winning the award is a good addition to a CV or resume
- Most compelling reason: funds for a research-related project
The most common requests are for funding to pay for travel to a research site or to attend a conference, or for payments to recruit or compensate human subjects. Equipment and professional services are also eligible expenses. The funding decisions will be made by the EO and/or the panel they select from your program’s faculty, who may find other expenses proposed that they will judge to be worthy of support.
The spending period is from June 2025 to May 2026, so please think about expenses you may have from June 2025 through May 2026 that relate to your research. Page 2 of the DSRG Guidelines has more details re eligible expenses.
The deadline for applications is 5 PM, January 31, 2025. Students should begin the process by reading the DSRG Guidelines here:
