Fellowship Opportunities at the Center for Jewish History

Fordham University Fellowship, 2018-19

The Center for Jewish History and Fordham University’s Center for Jewish Studies are pleased to announce that they will be offering a joint short-term research fellowship in Jewish Studies for a scholar outside the New York City metropolitan area whose research focuses on Jewish-Christian relations and who wishes to conduct research based on materials housed at the Center for Jewish History and Fordham University. The fellow is expected to spend at least a month at the two host institutions but may stay as long as five months. The fellow’s stay must coincide with either the fall or spring Fordham University academic semesters. The stipend for this fellowship is $5,000. The fellow will receive affiliation with Fordham University and will be required to offer a faculty seminar and a public lecture. The fellow is also expected to participate in scholarly seminars and other meetings at the Center for Jewish History and Fordham University. Applications are due February 2, 2018. NEH Fellowship for Senior Scholars (Deadline: January 3, 2018)

 Supports the research of a university professor who received PhD more than six year prior to conferral of the fellowship. Stipend of $50,400. Scholar must be in-residence at Center, and may not accept teaching assignments at home university, for duration of fellowship.

 

Graduate Research Fellowship (Deadline: February 2, 2018)

Supports graduate students pursuing PhDs who are interested in using the collections of Center partners. Stipends of $22,500. Must have completed all course requirements but for the dissertation, and must be in-residence at Center.
