FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of History, Philosophy and Political Science at Kingsborough Community College seeks to hire a full-time Assistant Professor of History for the 2019-2020 academic year to teach a broad range of history courses. The Department is especially interested in candidates with expertise in U.S. History and knowledge and ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: Latin American Studies, Transnational Studies and Women’s and Gender Studies.

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.

COMPENSATION

$47,340 – $90,149. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
