GC Language Reading Program Summer 2015 Courses

Registration by mail opens April 15 and closes May 26.

In person registration opens Friday, May 1 and closes Friday, May 29. To register in person,  go to room 4414 from 2 – 6 pm and see Diana Toman.

  • Almost all classes meet three times per week for two hours and 40 minutes each session.  There are exceptions: the German Level II [section AH] course is 4 hours and two of the French sections meet four times per week.
  • Some courses have multiple sections from which to choose.
  • Courses have different meeting schedules and start dates – please make sure you know the dates and days for yours.
  • German Level II [section AH] is for Art Historians and is a continuation of German Level I [section a].

Checks and money orders should be made out to CUNY GRADUATE CENTER. We cannot accept payments in cash. Tuition must be paid in full at registration.

There are different tuitions for students currently in (or accepted into) a credit-bearing degree program at any college of the City University of New York and for those who are not.

Tuition for students currently in, or accepted into, a credit-bearing degree program at any college of CUNY: $275
German I/II for Art History: $504 – OFFERED ONLY IN SUMMER

A copy of the paid bursar’s bill or a letter stating that the student is in, or accepted into, a degree program must be presented.

Tuition for those not currently in, or accepted into, a credit-bearing degree program at any college of CUNY: $795
German I/II for Art History: $964 – OFFERED ONLY IN SUMMER

Refund Policy 

If a student withdraws from a course at any time, a $25.00 processing fee will be charged. After classes begin, in addition to the $25.00 processing fee, the following refund policy will apply:

Withdrawal before the first meeting of class: all but the $25.00
Withdrawal between the first and second meetings of class:  75%
Withdrawal between the second and third meetings of class: 50%
Withdrawal between the third and fourth meetings of class:  25%

There is no refund after the fourth meeting of the class.

Note: Notice of withdrawal must be put in writing and either brought to the office of the CUNY Graduate Center Language Reading Program, emailed or sent by mail. If it is mailed, the postmark on the envelope will determine the date of withdrawal. If a course is cancelled by The CUNY Graduate Center Language Reading Program, registrants will receive a complete refund.
