History Teacher – Upper Division (Leave Replacement)

The Upper Division History Department is seeking a full-time leave replacement history teacher for grades 9 and 10. The position requires teaching two sections of Modern World History and two sections of United States History. Both courses are discussion-based and engage a group of lively, motivated students. Willingness to teach fundamental research and writing skills is a must. Teaching experience at the college and/or secondary school level is required. Advanced degree(s) in history or progress toward Advanced degree(s) preferred. Classes meet for forty-five minutes, four days a week. This is an ideal position for someone who is looking to get more teaching experience and/or test out a prep school teaching career. The annual salary range for this position is $72,000 to $113,500 based on experience and education. The annual salary will be prorated for time actually worked.

The school’s most recent $125 million bricks and mortar campaign has provided the Middle and Upper Divisions with newly constructed and renovated state of the art science and physical education facilities.
