Upcoming Events:

Drop-In Sessions:

Summer Zotero Drop-In Consultations

Zotero is open source citation software enabling users to easily collect, organize, cite and share. These one-on-one sessions are great for consummate users who need troubleshooting assistance or new users who prefer a more informal approach.

Although Stephen will not be holding one-on-one Zotero drop-in video consultations on Mondays from 1–2 p.m. over the summer, he remains available to meet via Zoom at any time. If you need assistance with Zotero, please email him to schedule a meeting.

Summer Data Management Consultations

Do you have reams of research data that you need to organize and document? Do you need to ensure that it is accessible to the public and/or preserved for the long term? Are you applying for a grant that requires you to create a data management plan? If so, then this drop-in session is for you.

Stephen Klein can help you navigate the world of data management during a drop-in video consultation.  Monthly Data Management Drop-Ins will not be scheduled until September, so email him to schedule a meeting for data management support.

Additional Updates:

Updates to the Collections

Thanks to a suggestion from our community, the Mina Rees Library recently added an online subscription to the journal Identities: Global Studies in Culture and Power. They welcome suggestions for new materials for the collections via these online forms (although their budgets have been allocated through the end of the summer 2025, librarian liaisons can consider suggestions for the next budget).

In an effort to better document and make transparent which of the collections are paid for via Student Technology Fee funds, they have also noted these materials on their list of A-Z databases.

Interlibrary Loan

As always, the Mina Rees Library encourages everyone to submit InterLibrary Loan (ILL) requests! ILL is an excellent way to obtain materials beyond the Graduate Center Library, in the form of print books, electronic articles/Ebook chapters, DVD’s, microfilm and more. Find out more about ILL on the InterLibrary Loan FAQ page.

Set up a Consultation with your Subject Librarian

Visit the Library Directory to find the librarian for your program. During the summer, the best way to set up a consultation is to reach out to your subject librarian by email.

Grants and Funding

Visit the Grants and Funding guide for information on a wide range of opportunities and resources. For further information, see this article from the Office of Communications and Marketing on finding and maintaining grants in an uncertain world.
