March 22 – Medgar and Myrlie Evers Research Scholars Program

The Medgar and Myrlie Evers Institute and the Mississippi Department of Archives and History (MDAH), with support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, are delighted to announce the 2019 Medgar and Myrlie Evers Research Scholars Program, designed to encourage and support research using the wealth of primary resources documenting the Civil Rights Movement in Mississippi and the nation at the archives in Jackson.

 This comprehensive scholarship of $4,000.00 will be awarded to an upper-level graduate student or early-career faculty member for research conducted at the Archives in summer 2019. The stipend may be used to cover travel, housing, and other expenses incurred while in Jackson.
