Social Studies Curriculum Designers wanted
IXL Learning, an educational technology company based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is looking for Social Studies Curriculum Designers to join our team. We think that alumni from The Graduate Center’s History program would be strong candidates for the role, so we are hoping you will share this opportunity with students in your department.
IXL Social Studies Curriculum Designers articulate learning objectives, design curricular questions to meet objectives, and create a fun learning experience for IXL users. IXL Social Studies content includes topics in history, geography, civics, and economics. Curriculum Designers write engaging and interactive questions on topics ranging from the Civil War to ancient China to the origins of Islam.
IXL’s product is used by 1 in 9 primary and secondary students in the United States. We take our responsibility to these learners seriously, and we strive to the highest levels of quality our curriculum design. Our Social Studies Curriculum Designers come with a range of experiences and backgrounds — from K-12 classrooms, to doctoral training, to work in the nonprofit sector. They are united by a shared love of learning, deep intellectual curiosity, and a desire to create high quality curriculum.
