Spring 2019 Adjunct Teaching Positions in History at the College of Staten Island, CUNY

The Department of History at the College of Staten Island is seeking to hire qualified adjuncts for the following four spring semester courses at its Willowbrook campus:

  • HST 260: U.S. History, First Encounters to the Present (Monday and Wednesday, 10:10 a.m.-12:05 p.m.)
  • HST 263: African American History: 1865 to the Present (Monday and Wednesday, 10:10 a.m.-12:05 p.m.)
  • HST 278: The History of Twentieth-Century Europe (Monday and Wednesday, 10:10 a.m.-12:05 p.m.)
  • HST 349: United States History since 1945 (Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.-9:50 p.m.)

Classes for the spring 2019 semester begin on Jan. 25 and continue until May 22.

For all of the above courses, we are seeking instructors with training in the relevant field. A master’s degree is required; ABD Ph.D. candidates are welcome to apply. Candidates should also possess suitable teaching experience.
