11/19 – Doctoral Student Research Grant info session

If you are a doctoral student in your second through sixth year, you are likely eligible to apply for a Doctoral Student Research Grant (Round 17), which can get you up to $1,500 for research, travel expenses, accommodations, conference fees, a research assistant, some supplies not covered by your program, as well as other expenses not covered by your program — for libraries, databases, and publication fees. Would you like to learn more?

Friday, November 19 at 1pm on Zoom there will be an information session about the DSRG. Please save the date. Details and link below.

During the info session, you will learn about the grant, and you’ll have an opportunity to ask questions. There will only be one info session, and it will not be recorded.

For more information about the grant itself, check out the DSRG Guidelines here:

The deadline to apply for the grant is January 31, 2022. However, you are encouraged to start applying as soon as you can.

If you are concerned about making plans during these uncertain times, please note:

  • The spending period for this grant does not start until June 1, 2022, at which point travel restrictions may be significantly looser than they are now.
  • If you are awarded and for some reason you cannot go through with your original plan (e.g. if the conference you planned to attend is cancelled), you will have the option of changing your original plan — with approval from your mentor.
  • During the info session, you’ll have a chance to ask questions specific to your research and proposal.
