Dr. Fidel Tavarez (Queens College Department of History) received the prestigious Feliks Gross/Henry Wasser Award for outstanding research in the spring. In order to honor awardees and learn more about their research, awardees present their work as part of a panel where they also receive their official award.

The Feliks Gross/Henry Wasser Research Talk and Musical Performance is on Friday, December 1, at 1pm.  The event will be held at the CUNY Graduate Center, in the Segal Theater on the first floor. Lunch will be served. Dr. Tavarez will present on “Plantation Dreams in the 18^th Century Spanish Caribbean”, alongside a musical performance from one of the awardees from Hunter College.
