Connecticut College seeks adjuncts for the 2020-2021 Academic Year – 2 courses in European history and 2 courses in African history.

The Department of History at Connecticut College invites applications to teach two courses on African History, one in the fall, 2020 and another in the spring, 2021 (semesters could be negotiated). We seek a colleague who is an excellent teacher and is enthusiastic about working closely with students in a liberal arts context. The two courses are:  HIS103 AFRICAN CIVILIZATIONS TO 1870 (fall), and HIS245 MODERN AFRICAN HISTORY, 1870-PRESENT(spring). Classes meet twice a week. The successful candidate should be an advanced ABD or have a Ph.D. in History at the time of appointment. Fall classes begin the last week of August; spring classes begin the third week of January.
