2023-2024 IIE Fulbright Grants for Graduate Research Abroad

The 2023-24 Institute for International Education (IIE) Fulbright Grant competition is now open.  Application materials and guidelines are available on-line at https://us.fulbrightonline.org/.

Students who are thinking of applying should contact the Graduate Center’s Fulbright Program Adviser, Rachel Sponzo at rsponzo@gc.cuny.edu for additional information.

The appliation must be completed online and the website provides full guidelines, instructions, and country-specific information.  Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship and proficiency in the host country language.

The Graduate Center’s internal campus deadline for students to submit IIE Fulbright applications (including transcripts and reference letters) is Wednesday, September 7, 2022, 5:00pm.  This date enables the Graduate Center to transmit evaluated applications to IIE by the early October national deadline.  Students who have submitted a complete application by September 7th will be asked to attend an interview with a GC Campus Evaluation Committee in late September or early October.  In preparing your application you are encouraged to work closely with your faculty adviser.
