How did publishing in the United States transform from a field in which Jews were systematically excluded to one in which they arguably became the most influential figures?

 

Josh Lambert is Sophia Moses Robison Associate Professor of Jewish Studies and English, and director of the Jewish Studies Program at Wellesley College. His research and teaching are situated at the intersection of Jewish Studies and American literary and cultural studies. He is the author of The Literary Mafia (Yale, 2022) and Unclean Lips: Obscenity, Jews, and American Culture (NYU, 2014).
