6/16 – Using Scrivener for Scholarly Writing (GC Library worskhop)

Word processor, notebook, research storage: Scrivener is the digital equivalent of welding a typewriter to a file cabinet. With Scrivener you can open PDFs, image files, even videos within the program you use to write, allowing you to move fluidly from research materials to manuscript.

It can be extremely useful — but it also can seem extremely cumbersome. We’ll give you an introduction to this writing tool and show you how to use its features for academic work. We’ll cover file organization, tagging, collections, footnotes, and importing and exporting text files, in addition to writing and formatting text.

Tuesday, June 16, 1pm

The workshop will be held via Webex. Register here.
