6/24 – Sharing Summer: Share Your Scholarship in CUNY Academic Works (GC Library worskhop)

Since COVID-19 sent us all home, have you had trouble accessing some of the scholarship you’ve needed for your teaching, learning, and/or research? Indeed, something COVID-19 has made us even more aware of is the vital importance of barrier-free public accessibility of scholarly and pedagogical works. You need easier access to others’ works, and they need easier access to yours. But which of your works can you share, and where can you share them?

In this workshop, we’ll address both of those questions. We’ll pay particular attention to CUNY Academic Works, a great place for the CUNY community to publicly share the works they’ve authored—journal articles, book chapters, conference presentations, posters, educational texts, lecture notes, course modules, and more. (Also great: papers in Academic Works are discoverable via Google Scholar.) We can discuss other platforms as well, as attendees wish.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have all the information you’ll need to get started making your works accessible to researchers, students, and searchers everywhere.

Wednesday, June 24, 1pm

The workshop will be conducted via Zoom. Register at this link!
