7/29 – Mapping the 1920s Red Scare (NYPL Doc Chat)

Doc Chat is a new virtual program series from NYPL’s Center for Research in the Humanities. Each episode, two experts dig deep into the stories behind the Library’s most interesting collections and highlight ways that teachers can incorporate them into the classroom.

In Episode One, Julie Golia, NYPL’s Curator for History, Social Sciences, and Government Information, is joined by Colgate University Professor Dan Bouk to discuss a curious map and its unusual connection to the Red Scare of 1919-1920.

Educators, scholars, students, and all primary source lovers are welcome to join this lively conversation. Each 30-minute episode takes place online.
