Adelphi University in Garden City, NY seeks to hire an adjunct instructor to teach a survey of the history of the Caribbean from the pre-Columbian period to the present in the spring 2014 semester, which begins on January 23.

• The course meets Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:25-10:40am.
• Pay is $4020 for the course.
• A peer review of the course will be conducted, which could be useful for someone seeking to build a teaching portfolio.

Adelphi University’s Garden City campus can easily be reached from NYC by public transportation via a short ride on the Long Island Railroad from Penn Station as well as from the LIRR’s Atlantic Terminal in Brooklyn and Jamaica Terminal in Queens.
