April 22 Investigating the Moral Self: Call for Researchers

As part of an interdisciplinary project focusing on the links between morality and identity, our CUNY-led team of philosophers and psychologists are conducting a series of studies that examine the relationship between parole and sentencing decisions and salient changes in personal identity.

To support this research we are seeking a graduate student with experience researching New York City or State court records and related source spaces to locate a broad range of parole board decisions between 1970 and the present. We expect that a qualified candidate can complete a preliminary review of these sources over two weeks of part-time work, with a gross pay of $720 (equivalent to $18 an hour), with the possibility of extending the project should the data corroborate our hypothesis.

Interested individuals should email a CV and a 300 word statement of interest indicating relevant experience to Javier Gomez-Lavin at jgomezlavin@gradcenter.cuny.edu , with the subject line Call for Researchers [LAST NAME] no later than April 22nd 2016.
