Author Seeks Part-Time Researcher (MA or PhD)

Published NYC-based author seek an organized part time researcher to assist with a non-fiction history book project, to be completed this fall and published in 2022.

The subject matter is World War II related, and encompasses elements of Russian, German, British, and United States military and political history.

The ideal candidate will have experience doing historical research with primary and secondary sources; organizing citations; doing detailed fact-checking; and compiling endnotes. Prior expertise in Russian and/or German military and intelligence archives is especially welcome (but not essential). A degree in History, European studies, Russian or German studies, or a similar field is preferred. General interest in World War II and the era is a must.

The position will start right away and be part-time but ongoing, with expected hours in the range of 10-15hrs/week, for up to six to nine months. The exact weekly schedule will be flexible. Pay will begin at $20/hr with chance of increase.

This position can be mostly or completely remote if desired, and the work will be entirely Covid safe.
