The Manuscripts, Archives, and Rare Books divisions at the NYPL serve thousands of patrons engaged in interdisciplinary studies each year. However, many of our remote patrons are unable to visit our collections and often need the assistance of hired independent researchers to access materials onsite, which has been made more difficult in the recent global pandemic.

We are seeking graduate students to be included on a running list of researchers for hire we might recommend to our patrons. Please note that any participant would not be employed or affiliated with the New York Public Library. Any arrangements made between independent researchers and patrons would be up to the discretion of both parties, independent of the Library.
