Her book manuscript has won the Dixon Ryan Fox Prize, awarded by the NY State History Association to the best Manuscript on NY History.  Previous winners include John Brooke and Alan Taylor.  The MS grew out of her Graduate Center dissertation; now the book, Urban Appetites:  Food and Eating in Nineteenth-Century New York, will be published by University of Chicago Press this spring.
