December 7 – The MET: Exhibition Previews

Learn about exhibitions opening at The Met in 2019 and beyond. Discuss the themes and ideas that intersect with your courses and curriculum, and find out how to bring your students as a group.

Exhibition topics include:

  • The new galleries for musical instruments (opening February 15, 2019), presented by Bradley Strauchen-Scherer, Associate Curator, Musical Instruments
  • Art and empires of Western Sudan (January 27–May 10, 2020), presented by Yaëlle Biro, Associate Curator, Arts of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas
  • Art at the Tudor courts (October 5, 2020–January 10, 2021), presented by Elizabeth Cleland, Associate Curator, European Sculpture and Decorative Arts, and Adam Eaker, Assistant Curator, European Paintings

Open to current college and university faculty across all disciplines, including part-time faculty and graduate student instructors.
