Fall 2022: Holocaust Educator School Partnership (HESP) Internship

Fall 2022 Paid Internship: Holocaust Educator School Partnership (HESP) Internship
Applications Open Until April 15, 2022

The Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust, located in New York City, is now accepting applications for the Fall 2022 Holocaust Educator School Partnership (HESP) internship.

Who are Holocaust Educator School Partnership interns?

  • Students studying in the New York metropolitan area, currently enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students in an accredited degree program.
  • Students who have a desire to learn and teach about the Holocaust.
  • Students who have a desire to work with teenagers in a classroom and museum setting and gain hands-on teaching experience.
  • Students who are flexible, willing to travel locally, and are able to work well both independently and in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Students from any background or area of study are encouraged to apply. No previous teaching or Holocaust study is required, although both of these are desirable.

What makes this internship unique?

  • This is a paid internship and local travel expenses are reimbursed. Interns may choose to work for school credit rather than pay.
  • The internship takes place during the school year, with training during the second half of August. The deadline to apply for the fall 2022 semester is April 15, 2022.
  • Students will work in both the Museum and metropolitan area public schools.
