Elvira María Restrepo (Ph.D., Oxford University) is currently a University of Miami Professor. Last year she spent one year as a special advisor on peace building. Her current research and teaching interests cross the disciplinary boundaries of conflict studies, criminal justice and peace-building, with a special focus on Colombia.

Mary Roldán (Ph.D., Harvard University) is the Dorothy Epstein Chair in Latin American History at Hunter College and a faculty appointment in Latin American history at the Graduate Center, (CUNY). Her research, writing and teaching interests include violence and peace studies. She serves on the editorial boards of the Latin American Research Review (LARR), Historia Critica (UAndes, Bogotá) and Estudios Sociales (UNacional, Bogotá).
