Program Evaluation Assistant

 

The Office of the University Dean for Health and Human Services is supporting a new program hosted at the School of Professional Studies (SPS), in partnership with healthcare industry partners, and workforce stakeholders. The goal of the program is to advance eligible healthcare staff into clinical instructor and academic faculty roles. The program includes a robust evaluation process to assess the extent to which the approach meets program and partner goals

 

They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve as the Program Evaluation Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with their Evaluation Lead and Program Director to support the assessment and analysis of various program activities. The ideal candidate for this position will possess relevant experience in program evaluation methodologies, proficiency in data analysis techniques, excellent communication skills, a demonstrated aptitude for report writing, and a passion for making a positive impact through evidence-based decision-making.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the implementation of program evaluation plans, including the development of data collection instruments, and analysis plans.
  2. Collect, organize, and manage data from various sources, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and program administration records.
  3. Conduct data cleaning, coding, and preliminary analysis to prepare datasets for further examination.
  4. Assist in conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses, including descriptive statistics, regression analysis, and content analysis.
  5. Support the preparation of evaluation reports, presentations, and other communication materials summarizing findings and recommendations to various audiences.
  6. Collaborate with the program team to ensure alignment between evaluation objectives and program goals.
  7. Assist in the dissemination of evaluation findings through presentations, workshops, and publications.
  8. Provide general administrative support to the program evaluation team, including maintaining documentation and coordinating logistics for evaluation activities.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • An ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience with program evaluation, research methods, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Proficiency in statistical software, as well as experience with qualitative analysis software.
  • Experience in writing detailed analytic reports to varied audiences.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards in research and evaluation, including protecting confidentiality and ensuring data integrity.
  • Desire to contribute to evidence-based decision-making and program improvement efforts.

 

Compensation

The position will be funded at the level of a Graduate Center Fellowship, with a payment of $29,374 for 15 hours a week for the 2024-2025 academic year, with pro-rated funding available for spring and summer 2024. The position is renewable, pending available funds.
